Method Man, born Clifford Smith, 53, is facing accusations of assaulting a man at a Crunch Fitness gymnasium in Staten Island. The alleged victim of the Wu-Tang Clan rapper and actor’s physical altercation was reported to be his daughter’s ex-boyfriend.

Allegations of Assault Surface in New York Post Report

According to a report by the New York Post, the incident took place on Thursday, January 16, involving a confrontation between Method Man and Patrick Sokoya, 28. Sokoya claimed that he was struck seven times in the face with a closed fist by the rapper, stemming from a past relationship he had with Method Man’s daughter over a decade ago.

Legal Action and Denial of Allegations by Method Man’s Representative

Although Sokoya reported feeling dizzy after the altercation, he declined medical attention, and a complaint was filed with the NYPD. Despite the accusations, Method Man has not been arrested.
