Travis Scott and Jordan Announce the ‘Cactus Jack Block Party’ to Celebrate Sneaker Release
With the release of the highly-anticipated Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 Cactus Jack approaching, Travis Scott and Jordan Brand are pulling out all the stops to celebrate the sneaker release.
On Wednesday (June 7), the “Butterfly Effect” rapper took to social media to announce the block party. As seen in the flyer, the event will take place on Friday, June 8th in the rapper’s hometown of Houston, Texas. Hosted by Travis in junction with the Jordan Brand, the event will feature appearances from the rapper and his friends, carnival games, a basketball tournament, and of course… plenty of food and beverages. However, it is not clear if the event will feature early access to the sneakers.

Loosely named after the recent collaborative project with Quavo, the Cactus Jack Jordan 4 provides a face-lift to the classic sneaker – featuring colors associated with the now defunct NFL franchise, the Houston Oilers. This collaboration marks the second project between the brand and Scott. Previously, the rapper teamed up with Nike to release the Travis Scott x Air Force 1 Low –which sold out shortly after its release.
The first-ever Cactus Jack Block Party will take place Friday, June 8th at Root Memorial Square Park. The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 Cactus Jack will be released Saturday, June 9th with select Jordan Brand retailers.
