Nicki Minaj fans rejoice because a new album is coming your way! During this year’s Met Gala red carpet, the femcee confirmed that her new album Queen will arrive this summer!
“It’s a big night for me because I just let the world know that my album is coming June 15 and it’s called Queen, and I can’t wait,” Minaj said during the red carpet interview. “I’m dressed like a queen every day, all day.”
As Rolling Stone reports, during an interview with Beats 1 with Ebro, the “Anaconda” rapper opened up about her forthcoming album. Minaj revealed that she began recording Queen back in January, however some of the track’s date back over 18 months. Along with the album, Nicki said she’s also filming a documentary that will center on the creation of her new album.
“I wanted to make sure I was writing something that was meaningful to me and that would inspire and that would captivate my audience,” she said. “But most importantly, I wanted to have fun again.”
