A few weeks back, it was reported that tennis star Serena Williams will be releasing a docu-series with HBO. Now, the cable network has unveiled the trailer for the docu-series Being Serena. The five-part series will not only chronicle her journey back to the tennis court, but also give us a look into her life as a new mom and her marriage to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
In the minute-and- a-half trailer, Williams details the gripping story about earning a Grand Slam title while pregnant with daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. “I was like, ‘How am I going to get through this?” Serena said in the clip. Her sister Venus Williams jokes about wanting a rematch being that Serena had an unfair advantage. “It was two against one,” she laughed.
Serena also delved into the topic of motherhood and starting a new family with her husband. “I’ve always envisioned myself as a mom,” she said. “But it happened so unexpectedly.” According to the Huffington Post, Being Serena will also focus on the tennis star’s life as a businesswoman, investor in technology, fitness and fashion and philanthropy.
