SZA Takes Us Back to Summer Camp in New ‘Broken Clocks’ Video

Off of her debut album CTRL, SZA recently share the visuals for her single “Broken Clocks” and it’s giving us serious nostalgia!

Directed by SZA and Dave Meyers, the five-minute video kicks off with the songstress and friends entering a summer campsite called “Camp CTRL.” As the video progresses, viewers can see the campers engage in various camp activities like archery, swimming, roasting marshmallows and of course a cafeteria food fight. The visuals also feature a cameo from several TDE members including Schoolboy Q and Isaiah Rashad. By the end of the video, we can see that it was merely a dream as the songstress wakes up on a bathroom floor after a fight at the strip club.

After the release, SZA took to Twitter to reveal that an incorrect version of the video was released. “When an automated incorrect version of ur video drops in the middle of he night an there’s nothing u can do.” The tweet has since been deleted.

The single is the fourth single off of the New Jersey native’s Grammy-nominated album and became certified gold after it’s release. The visuals for the hit song follows the Solange-directed video “The Weekend” and other hit singles like “Love Galore” and “Drew Barrymore,” which featured an appearance from the actual Drew Barrymore.

Recently, SZA announced that she would be releasing a deluxe edition of CTRL. Although she did not confirm the song titles, SZA stated that she has six bonus tracks for the forthcoming release.
