Tiffany Haddish, Omari Hardwick and Tika Sumpter Set to Star in Tyler Perry’s ‘The List’

If you can’t get enough of Tiffany Haddish, don’t fret! It has been announced that the breakout star has secured a role in the forthcoming Tyler Perry comedy, “The List.”

Haddish will appear in the film alongside Tika Sumpter and Power star Omari Hardwick, as Deadline reports. The Girls Trip star will portray a “wild” woman who is released from prison and reunites with her sister Danica (Sumpter). Danica is forced to accept the fact that she is getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend that she has never met. As expected, Perry penned the script and is directing and producing the film. Paramount Players has set a November 2, 2018 release date.

The List is just one of Haddish’s countless impending projects! The comedian is slated to star opposite Kevin Hart in Universal’s Night School and in the TBS sitcom The Last OG. Recently, Haddish stole the show at the 90th Academy Awards, where she presented alongside comedian-actress Maya Rudolph. Back in November, Haddish made history as the first black female stand-up comic to host Saturday Night Live in its 43 seasons – and as usual, she killed it. It has also been reported that Haddish will host the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards in June.

Sumpter will be reuniting with Perry from his OWN series The Haves and the Have Nots, which she appeared in from 2013-2017. The actress also starred in the film, Southside With You, where she starred as former First Lady Michelle Obama and it set to star in the David Lowery directed film, Old Man and the Gun.

As for Hardwick, the actor currently leads the Starz hit series Power. He is slated to star in A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night, which happened to be the most buzzed about films during the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. It has been reported that Hardwick is also starring in the sci-fi comedy Sorry to Bother You alongside Tessa Thompson, Lakeith Stanfield Terry Crews and Danny Glover.
