Diddy Donates $200,000 to Women’s Maternity Healthcare in Uganda

Diddy is doing what he can to ensure women in Uganda have proper maternal healthcare in a major way!

It has been reported that the music mogul has pledged a whooping $200,000 to French Montana’s Unforgettable healthcare Campaign. French Montana, in partnership with the non-profit group Mama Hope and Global Citizen, created the initiative after shooting his video for “Unforgettable” with Swae Lee.

“I’ve always said my purpose is to inspire and empower the next generation to become great leaders – and to honor their hustle along the way,” Diddy said to Rolling Stone. “in addition to passing the torch to French, I’m showing my support for the work he is doing in Uganda. Not only will Ciroc be donating $100,000 to support the organization Mama Hope, I am matching the donation so that our stories and successes can benefit as many people as possible.”

Diddy’s contribution comes after the “Lock Jaw” rapper donated $100,000 to Mama Hope. Along with the $100,000 donated by The Weeknd, the funds will go towards building the maternal healthcare facilities, which includes a prenatal care clinic, a birth house, a new ambulance and more. The new facility will be located at the Suubi Health Center, which serves a rural population in Budondo, Uganda – as Rolling Stone reports.

Following the news of Diddy’s donation, Montana took to social media to thank his friend for the huge contribution. “I wanna give a special shoutout to my big brother and my best friend @diddy for believing in my vision and being an agent of change!” He tweeted with a video of Diddy’s announcement. “Thank you to my @ciroc team. I’m honored to say the hospital is fully funded now! @theweeknd @Mama_Hope every woman and child deserves healthcare.”
