Drake Celebrates 31st Birthday with a Star-Studded “Re-Bar Mitzvah”
Leave it to Drake to throw an over-the-top party to bring in his birthday. However, this time, Drizzy decided to switch things up and celebrate his special day with a Bar Mitzvah-style shindig.
The OVO co-founder turned up for his 31st birthday with not just any party, but a “Re-Bar Mitzvah.” According to E!, The Toronto native and guests dined at Catch before hitting Poppy nightclub in Los Angeles to celebrate his birthday at midnight with some A-list friends. Some guests included Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Tobey Maguire, Hailey Baldwin, Kelly Rowland, Lamar Odom, and of course his father, Dennis Graham. A source states that the party was inspired by the star’s age, which if you reverse it, is 13 – the traditional age in which a Jewish teen celebrates his Bar-Mitzvah.
However, unlike any teenage party – the 6 God’s soirée included dancers dressed as cheerleaders, sport-themed arcade games, a basketball photo booth, Dippin’ Dots ice cream, and custom pizza boxes with a picture of young Drake with a “Papi’s Pizzeria” label – as the source states per E!. As attendees sipped out of red plastic cups that had “Aubrey’s Re-Bar Mitzvah” printed on them (his real name is Aubrey Drake Graham), they were able to listen to the sounds of Dennis Graham, who dedicated several songs to “his successful son that he is so proud of.”
