Diddy and DJ Khaled Close to Inking a Deal to Judge New Hip Hop Competition “The Four”

It’s safe to say that both Diddy and DJ Khaled are very influential to Hip-Hop music and culture. Now, it is reported that the two are deep in negotiations with Fox to sign on as judges for a new talent competition show that’ll be different from the rest.

According to TMZ, a source familiar with the situation says neither of them have officially signed on to the new TV show but negotiations are far along. The show will reportedly have four judges – a music mogul (Diddy), a producer (Khaled), a performer, and a songwriter – with at least one of the remaining two spots being filled by a woman. The show is said to focus on contemporary pop with an emphasis on hip-hop.

As TMZ reports, it will be an ongoing battle, with new competitors fighting to eliminate the front-runners. The winner of the competition will get the aid of the judges behind the panel to launch their career – a mogul, producer, songwriter, and someone to perform on stage with. Although there is no set premiere date, if Diddy and Khaled do sign on, “The Four” sounds very interesting and worth checking out.

Both Diddy and Khaled are no strangers to being on the small screen. This news comes after DJ Khaled announced that he’ll host the BET awards for a second year. The mega producer confirmed the exciting news via Instagram and a press release detailing his hosting duties.

“I am so excited to host the BET Hip Hop Awards for a second year. This is such an iconic show that highlights the hustle of hip hop artists in the industry,” he said in a statement. “It is a huge honor to be a part of a night that pays homage to some of the greatest talent of our generation and I’m looking forward to the amazing performances and tributes. You know I’ll be bringing the cloth talk and the keys – Hip Hop Awards 2017 is going to be major!”

As for Diddy, the mogul recently released an autobiographical documentary titled Can’t Stop Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story. The documentary, which focuses on the Bad Boy reunion tour, also tells the story on the rise on Diddy and the Bad Boy Family.
