Kevin Hart Issues Public Apology to Wife and Kids Amid Extortion Attempt
It was only a couple of months ago that comedian Kevin Hart was at the center of gossip site fodder when a video surfaced of him canoodling with an unidentified woman late at night. Many news outlets took the moment and ran with it, alleging that the actor was returning to his adulterous past ways. But Hart laughed it off. Literally. However, it appears that there might have been some truth to Hart cheating on his pregnant wife Eniko Parrish-Hart after all.
Over the weekend, Hart took to social media to issue a public apology to his wife and kids to make up for the embarrassment that would no doubt come to his clan due to his “mistakes.” The short clip solidified the public’s belief in Hart’s infidelity as the 38-year-old Let Me Explain star confessed to making “poor decisions.”
“I’m at a place in my life where I feel I have a target on my back, and because of that I feel like I should make smart decisions and recently I didn’t. You know, I’m not perfect and I’m not going to sit up here and say that I am or claim to be in any way shape or form,” the actor expressed in the clip.
According to TMZ, Hart’s public apology is a response to a woman he may or may not have had a physical relationship with attempting to extort money from the comedian in exchange for a “sexually suggestive” video she has in her possession. There is belief that whatever footage the extortionist has could be quite damning to the self-proclaimed rockstar comedian’s public image.
A rep close to Hart told TMZ, “Someone tried to set Kevin up in a failed extortion attempt. As law enforcement is involved, we cannot comment further as it could affect the investigation.”
Hart is no stranger to cheating and has even made his past infidelities on his ex-wife Torrei Hart a subject of some of his past standup routines. Parrish and Hart actually met while Hart was in the process of leaving his wife Torrei. Even though Parrish believed she had the last laugh when she secured the ring and their new baby, Torrei might have the last laugh of them all.
