Keke Palmer is taking her talents to MTV’s hit show Scream. It has been announced that the former Scream Queens star will lead in the third season for the television series based on the horror film franchise.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Palmer will find herself being hunted by the killer as Kym, a social activist with a thousand causes whose big heart and lack of patience gets her in hot water. Not one to sit idly by while a psychopath hunts down her and her friends, Kym works to expose the killer and stay alive at any cost. Along with Keke, MTV announced that stars, including Jessica Sula (Recovery Road, Split), RJ Cyler (I’m Dying Up Here, Vice Principals), Giullian Yao Gioiello (Julie’s Greenroom, The Carrie Diaries), and Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why, Son of Zorn) will join the cast for the forthcoming season.
Cyler will star as Deion, a star running back for the high school football team who sees his dreams of a college athletic scholarship start to slip when a masked killer targets him and threatens to expose the secrets of his past, as reported by EW. Sula will play Liv, a new girl who also happens to be an honor roll student and a member of the cheer squad – seeming to have an ideal life, while Gioiello will star as an openly gay student named Manny and Whigam will portray the role of the Goth girl Beth. As mentioned in a previous announcement, rapper/actor CJ Wallace (Notorious) and Tyga will be joining the cast for season 3.
