Congratulations are in order for tennis icon Serena Williams and fiancé Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian! The two welcomed their baby girl to the world earlier this month and nearly two weeks later, have finally shared the first photo of their little one.
Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. was born on September 1, 2017, weighing six pounds and 14 oz and, along with being cute, has a Grand Slam title underneath her belt, thanks to her mama’s victory while she was in the womb.
The two new parents also gave fans another treat in the form of a video shared via her IG stories and on Ohanian’s YouTube channel of their pregnancy journey from ultrasound to birth with baby girl Alexis. “Meet Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. You have to check out link in bio for her amazing journey. Also check out my IG stories,” Williams captioned the first look of her angel.
In the photo, baby girl Alexis was resting on her mother’s chest while in her arms, eyes barely open. Williams has her eyes closed too. The two seem to be sharing a moment, while safe and sound in each other’s embrace. In the video included in the link in bio, fans were put onto different moments throughout the journey to Alexis’ birth. Snippets of intimate moments like feeling the baby’s first kick, different pregnancy belly milestones, and maternity photos were shared in the brief two minutes and 15 seconds video.
Towards the end of the video, Serena was holding her newborn angel, wrapping her in a signature pink blanket, and said, “We’re leaving the hospital after…6, 7 days. It’s been a long time but we had a lot of complications but look who we got! We got a baby girl! Junior.”
