Fans from all over are sending their prayers and well wishes to R&B singer/songwriter Tweet after it was announced that the songstress has been hospitalized with blood clots in her lungs and right arm.
Early Wednesday (Aug. 30), Tweet’s partner, Pastor Jamal Bryant, made the news public – asking fans to keep her singer in their prayers. “ALERT!!! I need your prayers for @tweet_,” Bryant wrote. “She’s been admitted in hospital for blood clots in both lungs & right arm! Doctors can’t trace it but God is a healer! Prayer still works…”
Along with Bryant, Tweet’s longtime friend and collaborator Missy Elliot shared the devastating news to her 1.2 million followers. “Sending prayers up for my sis @Tweet_ who has blood clots in both lungs… We are asking for your prayers for healing…Amen.”
Since the release of her album Southern Hummingbird, Tweet has continued to create music. In 2016, Tweet released Charlene and had contributions to Solange’s critically acclaimed album, A Seat At the Table. Most recently, the “Oops (Oh My)” singer gave a soulful performance at this year’s Essence Music Festival.
During an interview with Vibe in 2016, the singer shared her growing relationship with her faith and God. “God is definitely the one to bring me out of some messed up situations and sometimes when I didn’t even want to be here,” she shared with Vibe. “It’s a whole lot of things that go on that will mess with your confidence so I knew I had to be strong enough to come back and endure, I had to have God and walk in his will to be able to do it.”
