Jay and Bey might officially be homeowners! The music industry power couple are in talks to purchase a $90 million home in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Times, rapper JAY-Z and singer Beyonce Knowles-Carter have placed an offer on a multi-million dollar Bel-Air home. And, if all goes as planned, their home purchase will be the highest purchase made for any home in the Los Angeles County in 2017.
Apparently, the 4:44 artist and the “Formation” singer have been looking to put down roots for a minute now. Since expanding their family by two with the arrival of their twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, finding a permanent home has been on the agenda for the pair. As of late, the pair have been reportedly renting a home in Malibu temporarily for a whopping $400,000 per month.
The $90 million offer on the Bel Air home is down from their previous offer of $120 million made earlier this year on the 30,000 square feet home. Created by Dean McKillen, the home consists of six structures, has eight bedrooms, and eleven bathrooms. Other amenities include four pools, bullet-proof windows, and a 15-car garage.
This isn’t Beyonce or JAY-Z’s first attempt at buying an LA home, but it might be the closest they’ve come to securing a new abode for their blossoming family. The couple placed a $49 million offer on a Beverly Hills home, but were outbid by designer/director Tom Ford. Ironically, JAY-Z has a hit song named after the famed designer where the Brooklyn native reps, “I don’t pop molly, I rock Tom Ford” as a homage to his elevated lifestyle and redefining what’s cool in hip hop.
If the 30,000 square foot home pictured below is any indication of what the JAY-Z brand of cool can gift you with, we’ll have what he’s having.
