A$AP Rocky Announces “Awgest” Takeover with the A$AP Mob

It’s official, the A$AP Mob will be taking over the month of August and will be kicking off their “Awgest” Movement. Tuesday night (August 1), Rocky announced The Mob will bring out a slew of music and events along with a new creative platform for its first annual Awgest.

“I would like to announce the first annual Awgest,” Rocky said in a post on twitter. “For the month of Awgest we will be launching a new AWGE website, music, content, videos & a whole bunch of other kool s**t. As well as releases from… A$AP Mob, All AWGE artist and Creatives including Playboi Carti, Smooky Margiela, Fatmankey & Treezlowkey etc… We will have our own forums in which our team will update constantly with visuals and their own curated work as well… This is only beginning for us.”

The announcement of “Awgest” comes after A$AP Mob revealed the release date and cover art for their forthcoming project, Cozy Tapes Vol. 2, dropping August 25. Hot New Hip Hop reports that during Awgest, fans will see multiple releases from the mob including music from A$AP Twelvy’s 12 on August 4 and A$AP Ferg’s Still Striving on August 18. It has also been reported that, during the month of Awgest, The Mob will also feature special events, pop-up shows and shops. After the first annual Awgest ends, A$AP Mob is set to embark on the Too Cozy Tour beginning September 23 to November 3.
