Naturi Naughton and Longtime Boyfriend Welcome Daughter
Congratulations are in order for Naturi Naughton and long-time boyfriend Ben! On Wednesday (July 19), the Power star and new mom gave birth to a healthy baby girl. According to US Weekly, her baby girl arrived at 8:48 p.m. – weighing in at 5 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 19 inches long.
“This is the best experience of my life! Myself and Benjamin are so honored and happy to welcome this beautiful girl into the world!” Naughton said in a statement.
Back in March, the former member of R&B group 3LW confirmed her pregnancy while in the middle of filming the fourth season of Starz hit show Power. “I feel like being pregnant and entering this new stage has made me stronger and more excited about life in general,” the new mom shared with US Weekly. “Everything seems so much more purposeful.”
Before giving birth to her baby girl, Naturi shared a photo of her baby bump before the Power screening at the Paley Center – “#StillPregnant #AnyDayNow” Naughton wrote.
During her pregnancy, Naughton shared some of those infamous pregnancy cravings. “I love kale, I love strawberries and pineapples, but I’m not proud of this … I’ve been eating Cup Noodles,” she said to People. “I really want salty, spicy things, and Cup Noodles has been really awesome. I haven’t had one since college.”
Known for her roll as Tasha in Power, Naughton is no stranger to the small and silver screens. She has appeared in a slew of films including Fame, Lottery Ticket, and Notorious as rapper Lil Kim. She also appeared in shows including, The Client List, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mad Men and The Playboy Club.
