After a nearly four year hiatus from the rap game (features aside), JAY-Z is on a roll. First, he released 4:44, then the project was certified platinum less than a week later, and now, JAY-Z has officially dropped what we’ve all been waiting for – dates for the 4:44 Tour. Despite a potential TIDAL lawsuit looming overhead, JAY-Z is showing us yet again that he has no choice but to shine when it comes to being a boss.
With the arrival of his twins and some reported health concerns, the tour got pushed back a bit until late fall. Now, the dates are in! The 31-city tour will start October 27 in Anaheim, California and will come full circle at the very end, when the finale show comes back to California on December 21 in Los Angeles.
The 31 cities will encompass show stops in major cities that include Las Vegas, New Orleans, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Nashville, Detroit, Montreal, and Toronto. And it wouldn’t be a JAY-Z tour if the 47-year-old rapper didn’t show Brooklyn some love. The Brooklyn born and bred music industry titan will headline the Barclays Center (although he is no longer part owner, Barclays and TIDAL do have a partnership) on November 26.
Starting today (July 10), Tidal members have exclusive access to the tour tickets’ presale. Tidal members can enjoy this perk through Tidal’s site. If you aren’t a Tidal member, have no fear! Due to a partnership with Citi, Citi cardholders can also get a piece of the presale pie. Today through July 13 at 10 pm EST, Citi cardholders can grab presale tickets via Citi’s Private Pass website.
For the rest of us, tickets for the general public go on sale Friday (July 14), starting 10 am local time, through the Live Nation website. VIP packages will also be available and can be copped by visiting VIPNation.com.
