‘Empire’ Alums & Real Life Married Couple Trai and Grace Byers Share an Exclusive Look at their Wedding Photos
There is a thin line between business and pleasure and actors Trai Byers and Grace Byers (nee Gealey) walked that line when they met on the set of Empire back in 2015. When it was announced that they were dating and then months later that they were engaged, it gave all of us hope that you could find love at work, and that you didn’t have to separate the two. The couple married April 14, 2016 on the Grand Cayman Island, where Grace was raised.
A little over a year later, the Byers are blessing our eyes and timelines with photos of their nuptials from last year’s private ceremony. The newlyweds gave the publication Cayman Vows an exclusive inside look of their ceremony. The love and bliss shared between the Byers is absolutely radiating from the pages.
Grace was the first to share the news via her Instagram with the caption, “Not our anniversary (it was last month) but it IS the official launch of our wedding photos! We are so honored to grace the very first cover of the brand new ‘Cayman Vows’ magazine and to finally share snippets of our special day… Out on stands this week in Grand Cayman and next month in Canada + the USA!”
Grace shared another shot from her big day that included her adorned in her Monique Lhuilier wedding gown fit for a queen. “Like a normal gal without any fame or fuss, I wanted to peruse bridal shops and feel the sacred magic of finding the perfect dress. I decided to turn down all of the gracious custom gown design offers (thank you) and instead, embarked with my mama + sister on this quiet, special journey. It was one of the most intimate and vulnerable experiences I’ve ever encountered and I will never forget it. In the end, this @moniquelhuillier gown won me over and made me feel like more than just a bride…I felt like a queen. It couldn’t have been more perfect.”
Hubby Trai also chimed in to share his appreciation for his blushing bride and love and life partner.
