Petty petty petty, they been winning steady. Jay Z and Beyoncé are taking being a power couple to new heights and have a joint net worth of over a billion dollars to show for it. Recently, Forbes was the first to announce the major milestone amongst pop culture and the music industry’s most celebrated couple.
The finance publication also included Queen Bey on their list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, having earned a $350 million fortune. That, accompanied by Jay Z’s recently announced $810 million net worth means that the couple is worth a whopping $1.16 billion. Now that’s a lot of dough.
This major jump in tax brackets also comes a week after news of Jay Z inking a $200 million deal with the Live Nation organization. The business mogul has collaborated with Live Nation to promote numerous shows of his over the course of the past nine years. The 10-year deal will include Hov and Live Nation touring worldwide where Live Nation will produce and promote any and all of his future concerts and events over the next decade.
“Live Nation and I entered unchartered territory in 2008,” the business mogul said in a statement at the time of the deal’s signing. “Over 9 years, we have traveled the world producing historic music experiences. Michael Rapino is an industry visionary, and this renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next 10 years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape.”
This new deal might make Hov a billionaire on his own and make him the first rapper to do so, but the two are definitely better together. With the couple reaching new heights financially and gearing up for the arrival of their twin babies this summer, Jay Z and Beyoncé have a lot to be excited about. Keep shining y’all.
