Two Sisters Create Fragrance Brand After Successful Appearance on ‘Shark Tank’

Talk about Black Girl Magic! At the age of 12 and 10, Kidprenuers Madison Star and Mallory Iyana Boyd are set to take over the fragrance industry. After appearing with their mother Viara Boyd on ABC’s Shark Tank, both Mark Cuban and Daymond John teamed up to offer the siblings $60,000 for 33.3% share of their company, Angels and Tomboys.

Madison and Mallory had an aspiration to create a product that “every girl can use and every parent can feel good about it.” According to their website, the siblings created fun names, characters, and unique scents and presented the idea to their mom. “Our mom named the company ‘Angels and Tomboys’ as a reflection of our unique and complex personalities and interests,” the girls share on their website. “We’re just like every girl in the world because ALL girls are created equally different. Plus, we can all agree that every Angel has a bit of Tomboy in her.”

Retailed at $12, all of their products are paraben free, vegan friendly, and contain skin-nourishing ingredients like shea butter and vitamins A, C, and E. The brand features fun scents like Rockin’ Blue Berry, Candy Star Glam, Deep Fried Ice Cream, and Watermelon Funk — just to name a few!

According to BCKOnline, the girls shared their thoughts on the future of their business in an interview where the budding young moguls said they hope to “continue to grow our e-commerce store as well as land a partnership with major retail outlets while continuing to offer excellent customer service and great products for girls.”
