The tragic tale of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s only daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is being made into a biopic- and Bobby Brown is reportedly not happy.
The Jasmine Brand broke the news of the biopic in an exclusive and now reports that Brown is not pleased about the fact that his daughter’s life will become a movie.
Demetria McKinney is reportedly set to star as Bobbi’s legendary mother, Whitney Houston, while Vivica A. Fox will play Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law. The names of the young stars who are set to play Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon, as well as Bobby Brown, have yet to be revealed.
According to TJB‘s source, “The rights were sold to the biopic before he had any knowledge of it. He was blindsided.”
McKinney received backlash once word began to spread of her involvement in the project and released a statement:
“I have the utmost respect for whitney houston and those who have followed me through the years know that. I am NOT an opportunistic person and wouldn’t post, do, say, or be a part of anything that would diminish the light that she is nor the light of her life : BK. That’s part of the problem, we get emotionally charged over things we do not know or have a full understanding of. Even a criminal is innocent until proven guy so it’s only right that If a biopic is made and you choose to watch it, you pass judgement then.”
No further details about the biopic have been released at the time of this article’s publication and Brown has yet to release an official statement.
