A Jodeci Biopic Could Be Heading to VH1

Are a slew of biopic from black groups the next big thing? It appears that way because a Jodeci film is reportedly in the works over at VH1.

The 90s R&B group, comprised of Dalvin, DeVante Swing, K-Ci, and JoJo, is responsible for hits including “Come and Talk to Me” and “Forever My Lady” along with plenty more. Now, following the success of BET’s New Edition biopic, group member Delvin confirmed that Jodeci’s biopic is next up. “They started the process last September,” he told San Francisco radio station Q102. “We just finished the script and we’re going into production next month, so we’re looking probably at an end of the year release…VH1 own the rights so far.”

VH1 has yet to comment on the project, but judging from the fan reactions on Delvin’s page, the biopic is definitely something that they want.
