Katherine Jackson Taking Nephew to Court Over Alleged Elder Abuse

Katherine Jackson, the matriarch of the Jackson family, is reportedly taking her nephew to court over alleged elder abuse, claiming that she’s been a victim of mental abuse at his hands over the course of the last 8 years.

Jackson, 86, has filed court documents against her nephew (through marriage) and driver, Trent Lamar Jackson, citing that he’s “accessed her bank accounts without her permission, used credit cards of hers for his own personal purchases without authorization, and subjected her to years of mental abuse that has left Jackson “in a constant state of fear and confusion.””, according to docs obtained by People.

The site also reports that Jackson, who describes her nephew as “an abusive con-man”, fired Trent and ordered him to vacate her guest house, but he’s refused to comply. “She tried to fire Trent from his job as her nearly 6-figure driver on February 3, with the Sheriff present, but Trent took off just as deputies and her lawyer arrived,” reports TMZ.

She’s currently in London visiting her daughter Janet and her new grandbaby, but is allegedly “afraid to go home with Trent there” and “fears he could physically harm her for terminating him.”

The motion for a restraining order against Trent has already been granted and he’s been ordered to move out of Mrs. Jackson’s guest home and return all of her belongings including “all keys, passwords and combinations to the property.”

A hearing has been scheduled for March 1st.
