Terrence J. has come a long way since the days of 106 and Park! The actor and host is preparing to step behind the camera in his new production and development deal with MTV and VH1.
The networks announced that Terrence he has been optioned to develop and executive produce original content for both MTV and VH1 through his company, Jenkins Entertainment Group. The deal also includes Terrence providing on-air hosting duties at various events held by either network, including tentpole pre-shows, live events, after shows and original series.
Jenkins co-anchored E! News for three years before leaving to focus on his acting and producing careers- a move which has clearly paid off for him. “MTV and VH1 are some of the most iconic television brands in the world,” Terrence said in a statement. “I grew up watching both and I can’t wait to bring my POV in programming and personality to these networks and their loyal viewers.”
“We’re excited to have Terrence J join the MTV and VH1 families in both executive producer and on-air capacities,” said Amy Doyle, General Manager of MTV, VH1 and Logo. “His past work has earned him fans around the globe and we know he’ll bring his signature voice to our brands.”
Terrence currently hosts Aftermatch, MTV’s live after-show for their love connection reality show Are You The One?.
