Jay Z continues to demonstrate his business savviness throughout his career- the rapper and mogul’s latest move means big changes for his music streaming service, Tidal.
The acquisition and new partnership between Sprint and Tidal means that now, Sprint customers will have exclusive access to content from Tidal artists. It also means that Sprint owns 33 percent of the company, however Jay Z and the artist-owners will continue to run the artist centric service. Sprint’s chief executive officer, Marcelo Claure, will also join Tidal’s Board of Directors.
