President Obama has announced the plans for his farewell speech and it looks like he’ll be heading home to Chicago to say goodbye to his final term.
The White House revealed via Twitter that the Obamas will be heading to Chicago on Tuesday January 10 for POTUS’ farewell speech.

Obama wrote a few remarks about his upcoming speech on the White House’s official website, saying that he will follow in the tradition started by George Washington. “I’m just beginning to write my remarks,” writes President Obama on the White House’s official site. “But I’m thinking about them as a chance to say thank you for this amazing journey, to celebrate the ways you’ve changed this country for the better these past eight years, and to offer some thoughts on where we all go from here.”
President Obama also took time to reflect on was accomplished while he was in office:
