Netflix has heard their users wishes for offline viewing and are finally responding with a way that subscribers can download their favorite shows to watch anytime and anywhere.
The streaming network has launched a download option that will allow subscribers to save their favorite shows to their devices so that they can watch them literally anytime without needing internet access. “While many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we’ve often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things binge while on airplanes and other places where Internet is expensive or limited. Just click the download button on the details page for a film or TV series and you can watch it later without an internet connection,” wrote Eddy Wu, Netflix’s Director of Product Innovation, in a blog post.
According to Variety, “Original series including Orange Is the New Black, Narcos, House of Cards, Stranger Things, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Master of None and The Crown are available for download starting Wednesday. Other titles available for offline viewing include TV shows Supernatural, The Office, The Flash and The 100, and animated movies Minion and Home.”
