‘Atlanta’, ‘Black-ish’ and More Land 2016 Critics Choice TV Award Nominations


Atlanta, Black-ish and American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson made the list of nominees for the 2016 Critics Choice TV Awards.

Black Hollywood made its mark in this year’s categories, with Black-ish and FX’s new series Atlanta nabbing nominations for Best Comedy Series, as well as its star Donald Glover making the Best Actor in a Comedy Series category. Glover joins Black-ish star Anthony Anderson in that category, while Anderson’s onscreen wife, Tracee Ellis Ross, holds her own in the Best Actress in a Comedy Series category.

American Crime Story
‘s first season, focusing on the O.J. Simpson trial, was recognized in multiple categories again this year as well, including a Best Actor in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series nom for both Cuba Gooding Jr. and Courtney B. Vance.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by actor and comedian TJ Miller and air live on A&E, December 11 at 8PM ET/5 PM PT.
