‘Empire’ Stars Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollett Are MAC’s Newest Ambassadors

Empire stars Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollett have teamed up with MAC Cosmetics to use their fame to bring attention to a great cause.

The pair, who play mama Cookie Lyon and her talented middle son Jamal on the hit FOX series, have signed on to become MAC’s newest brand ambassadors for their Viva Glam campaign. Taraji’s own cosmetic line in collaboration with MAC was announced back in August and it seems she loved working with the brand so much that she signed on to do it all over again!

The campaign was started to help promote the MAC Aids Fund, with 100% of the selling price proceeds going toward the fund which helps men, women and children who are living with or affected by AIDS. In fact, according to their website, “to date, the M·A·C AIDS Fund has raised over $400 million exclusively through the sale of M·A·C VIVA GLAM Lipstick and Lipglass donating 100 percent of the sale price to fight HIV/AIDS.”

The company officially welcomed Taraji and Jussie to the Viva Glam family over social media, posting a photo of the two looking hot, with Taraji rocking their custom Viva Glam lip color.

Both stars also shared the photo on their social media pages as well:

MAC even threw in a little extra info about the line’s custom shade, a gorgeous matte fuchsia with pearl color that will be available in lipstick and lipglass.

Past stars who’ve participated in the Viva Glam campaign include Rihanna, Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, Lil’ Kim, Ariana Grande and more.

Jussie and Taraji’s VIVA Glam line will hit stores in February 2017.
