President Barack Obama stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to read some not-so-nice tweets about himself and even managed to slide a Donald Trump diss in before the end of the segment.
It’s POTUS’ second time on the skit, where celebs come to read unpleasant tweets sent about themselves by non-fans, and he brought his A game.
The President smirks his way through a slew of unfavorable tweets like “Barack Obama is the Nickelback of presidents”, “Barack Obama dances like how his jeans look,” and “Barack Obama is the Sharknado of Presidents-loud, stupid and over-hyped.” He takes it all in stride though, sometimes laughing and moving on to the next tweet and other time quipping back.
The highlight of the segment, however, is when he took on a tweet from one of his most vocal opponents- Donald Trump. “President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States,” reads Trump’s tweet, to which the president replies, “Well @realDonaldTrump, at least I will go down as a president,” before dropping the phone like a G.
He also told Kimmel during his interview on the late night show that he’s totally fine not having to run against the Donald. “I think Hillary’s doing just fine. I’m enjoying campaigning on her behalf and also campaigning for senate and house candidates…Regardless of what your political preferences and your policy preferences, there is a certain responsibility and expectation in terms of how you behave, how you present yourself.”
