New details have emerged surrounding the death of Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo.
The 40-year-old was killed in a car crash last month when his car went over a guardrail, hit two trees, and caught on fire; he was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
In an autopsy report, obtained by TMZ, a medical examiner found a prescription bottle labeled Promethazine on the rapper that was instead filled with Percocet and Vicodin and also noted that the rapper’s body reeked of alcohol. The report also shows that he suffered blunt force injuries to his head when he was ejected from his car during the car crash.
The report also revealed that there were two females passengers in the car with Shawty at the time of the crash. The police officers on the scene reportedly allowed the women to take a large sum of cash out of the rapper’s pockets, allegedly leaving only $16.
The investigation is ongoing while the medical examiner awaits the results of the toxicology report.
