Kevin Hart’s hard work has been paying off (the man has at least 3 new films come out a year) and that work has now earned him a permanent spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 37-year-old star has made being busy a part of his brand and boy has it paid off. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce chose Hart, who used to be a shoe salesman, as the latest honoree based on all of his career achievements in the realms of TV, film and stand-up comedy. Rapper/actor Ice Cube, producer/director Will Packer and producer/director Tim Story were all on-hand during the ceremony to congratulate their friend in his achievement.
The moment wasn’t lost on Hart either, of course. He shared a photo of himself cozying up to his new star, along with a heartfelt caption for his fans. “Hard work pays off….This is just the beginning people,” he wrote. “I’m inspired & motivated to do so much more. The last name HART will have a powerful meaning when it’s all said and done!!!! The road to making the world laugh continues….Let’s make History this weekend damn it!!!! #WhatNow #comedicrockstarshit #DopePic #4DaysAway”
“We are so excited to honor the hilarious Kevin Hart with a star on the Walk of Fame next to DSW Shoes,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies. “Before Kevin took the entertainment world by storm, he honed his work ethic as a shoe salesman in his hometown of Philadelphia. It’s fitting that a man who has achieved so much in his career and given such joy to so many across the world has never forgotten where he comes from. If the shoe fits, Kevin…”
Hart’s long list of credits include his upcoming stand-up comedy film Kevin Hart: What Now?, The Secret Life of Pets, Ride Along and Ride Along 2, Think Like a Man, Little Fockers, Death at a Funeral and so many more. The funnyman was also named the highest paid comedian of 2016 by Forbes, ending reigning comedy king Jerry Seinfeld’s 10-year-reign.
The comedian made sure to share plenty more photos from the exciting event which you can browse through below:
