Chris Brown Arrested For Assault With a Deadly Weapon
Chris Brown was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a lengthy standoff with police outside his Los Angeles home Tuesday evening.
Officers arrived to Brown’s home around 3 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 30) after a woman called 911 to ask for help.
Former beauty queen Baylee Curran accused the 27-year-old singer of threatening her with a gun inside his Tarzana, CA home. Curran claims the altercation happened after she admired some of Brown’s jewelry. The singer reportedly demanded that she “get the f*** out” and pointed a gun at her.
On Tuesday, the singer posted three now-deleted videos to his social media, all claiming his innocence and saying he was being “unfairly portrayed as a villain”.
“Good luck. When you get the warrant or whatever you need to do, you’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing, you idiots,” he said in one video. “I’m tired of … dealing with y’all.”
Police officers obtained a search warrant after Curran filed her police report.
During the investigation, Brown reportedly threw a duffel bag out his window that contained two guns and drugs, according to TMZ. Brown was transported to an LAPD jail for processing.
Brown previously completed five years of felony probation after pleading guilty to felony assault in his case involving his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
