Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ Cast and Roles Confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con


The cast of Marvel’s Black Panther has been highly speculated ever since the film was announced and now fans have confirmation on who will be starring in Marvel’s blackest film yet, as well as what roles they’ll play.

Chadwick Boseman made his debut as T’Challa/ Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War and will star in Black Panther, and both Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan were previously confirmed, although their roles were kept under wraps. Now we know who both will be playing, as well as have news of a new cast mate- The Walking Dead actress Danai Gurira!

Michael B. Jordan has signed on to play big bag Erik Killmonger, an exiled Wakandan (formerly named N’Jadaka) who seeks to destroy Black Panther and Wakanda; Lupita Nyong’o will portray Nakia, a member of Black Panther’s Dora Milaje- women from rival Wakandan villages who serve T’Challa as bodyguards and possible potential wives; and newly announced castmember Gurira will play Okoye, another member of the Dora Milaje who is also friends with Nakia.

The film’s new logo was debuted during SDCC as well:

Black Panther‘s current release date is July 6, 2018, but with all they hype surrounding the film, we’d love to see this date pushed up!
