Beyonce, Rihanna, Drake, Jesse Williams and many more stars took home honors from the 2016 BET Awards.
The night was filled with tons of exciting moments, from Queen Bey and Kendrick’s awesome opener, to the Prince tribute that should have always been, to Jesse Williams’ really real speech about racial injustice and inequality in America. The show, which was simulcast on Comedy Central and TeenNick, took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA and was successfully hosted (once again) by Black-ish co-stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross.
In addition to the celebration of black talent in general, the night was also about honoring the winners and by the end of it all, Drake and Future took home the tile of Best Group, Michael B. Jordan won for Best Actor and Samuel L. Jackson was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award, among many others.
