Lamar Odom in Critical Condition After Being Found Unconscious at Nevada Brothel
Former NBA player Lamar Odom is fighting for his life after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel.
According to an update by TMZ, Odom is in a coma and his heart is failing. HE is also having serious problems with his kidneys and lungs as well.
Odom arrived at the Bunny Love Ranch Saturday and had been staying at Hof’s Homes, which is attached to the brothel. The owner, Dennis Hof, said the 35-year-old had been enjoying his time there before two girls went in to check on him and found him unconscious yesterday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. local time.
“He just wanted to get away, have a good time and relax,” Hof said, added that Odom was “throwing up all kinds of stuff,” when employees tried to turn him to his side. Hof said that Odom had been taking a herbal sexual stimulant, but was unaware if he had taken anything else.
Though Odom has had problems with substance abuse, Hof said he did not seeing any signs of altered behavior that would lead him to believe that the NBA player was taking drugs and there were no illicit drugs found in his room.
“Everything was normal. From the time he got there he was in a great mood. He was having fun, eating like a horse and having a lot of laughs,” Hof says. Hof did, however, note, “He got calls on Sunday that kind of bummed him out. Besides that, he was in great state of mind. He was eating good. My girls were cooking for him.”
Officials were able to stabilize Odom at a nearby hospital, and made arrangements to transport him to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas by helicopter. However, they were unable to transport him by air due to his 6-foot-10 stature. Instead he was driven by ambulance to the next location, according to a statement from the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.
Khloe Kardashian, Odom’s former wife, rushed to the hospital to be by his side. She was joined by the rest of the Kardashian clan.
