Anthony Anderson’s Wife Files for Divorce
Anthony Anderson and wife Alvina Anderson have reportedly split after nearly 20 years together.
According to court documents, Alvina filed for divorce on Sept. 21, but the couple separated on April, 1 2014. She is seeking spousal support, and is citing irreconcilable differences in the divorce.
The couple, who were high school sweethearts, wed in 1999. They have two children together, 15-year-old Nathan and 19-year-old Kira. Alvina is seeking joint legal custody and primary physical custody of Nathan.
News of the divorce comes just after the season two premiere of Black-ish were Anderson stars as the father of a middle class family worried about his family losing its African-American identity.
