Tracy Morgan Marries Longtime Love Megan Wollover
Tracy Morgan and his longtime-love Megan Wollover tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on Sunday (Aug. 23), a rep confirmed.
The happy couple, who began their romance in 2011, exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family, including their two-year-old daughter Maven.
The couple’s marriage comes nearly a year after the comedian was involved in a nearly fatal accident when his vehicle was struck by a Walmart truck. He suffered a broken leg, femur, nose, ribs, and a traumatic brain injury, while his comedian friend James McNair died.
“After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the love of my life,” Wollover tells PEOPLE. “We have been through so much and our love is stronger for it.”
Morgan worked hard during his recovery and was determined to walk with his wife on their wedding day.
“I don’t want to walk my wife down the aisle with a cane or in a wheelchair,” he said in June. “So I had to go hard with the therapy … I had to get better. There was no ifs, ands or buts about it.”
This is Morgan’s second marriage, following his 2009 divorce from ex-wife Sabrina, to whom he was married for 23 years. The exes have three grown sons together.
