Beyoncé Makes History on September Cover of ‘Vogue’

All hail Queen Bey!

The cover for Vogue‘s biggest issue of the year, the September issue, goes to none other than Beyoncé.

The cover leaked on the internet Wednesday evening (Aug. 12), and was officially unveiled by the fashion magazine early Thursday.

Shot by legendary fashion photographer Mario Testino, the stunning cover image shows the singer sporting her signature wet hairstyle with a body-hugging lavender lace dress embellished with floral appliqués.

Vogue also released a video from the shoot, featuring the “Drunk In Love” singer playfully posing for Testino in a number of looks, including a see-through curve-hugging black mesh dress.

This marks the 33-year-old’s third gracing the cover of the fashion bible. Her first was in April 2009, and her second March 2013.

This time, however, she makes history by being the third black woman to appear on the coveted September cover in the history of the magazine. She joins the ranks of supermodel Naomi Campbell and Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry.

Vogue‘s entire September issue will be available as early as August 14 via Amazon or by picking it up in Target stores. The issue officially hits newsstands on August 25.
