Timbaland Promised the Release of New Aaliyah Music

Aaliyah fans will be excited about this news!

New music from the fallen star will soon be released, according to Timbaland.

The music producer who famously worked with Aaliyah posted made the announcement via Instagram along with a photo of the singer’s face in the clouds.

“Attention!!!!! People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven’t heard !!!!!well the answer is YES!!!!!!!! TIMBO x BABEGIRL !!!!! Sneak peak coming !!!!!!!” he captioned the photo.

This will be the first time Timbaland has worked to release music by the late singer since the 2002 album I Care 4 U.

Aaliyah’s vocals have been used in recent years by Drake on “Enough Said” and there was a collaboration album in the works, but it was shelved when Aaliyah’s estate did not want it out. Fellow R&B singer Chris Brown also used vocals on his 2013 single “Don’t Think They Know.”

In 2014, Aaliyah was the subject of a controversial biopic on Lifetime. Though the film set viewing records, it was heavily criticized for being poorly made.

Timbaland has not given a time frame of when to expect new Aaliyah music, but when he does it is expected to be nothing short of amazing. “Aaliyah music only work with its soulmate, which is me,” he’s said in the past.

Aaliyah died in a plane crash on Aug. 25, 2001, at 22. She debuted in 1994 with the album, Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number.

Stay tune!!!!!!
