2015 ESPYs: Russell Wilson and Ciara Pose on Red Carpet
Russell Wilson and Ciara showed some PDA while attending the 2015 ESPY Awards held at Microsoft Theater on Wednesday evening (July 15) in Los Angeles.
The new couple wowed the red carpet together in matching ensembles. Ciara looked stunning in an ombre Elie Saab gown with a halter neckline, a thigh high split and purple hues on her waistline and the bottom of her dress. Her athlete beau coordinated with her, matching his Calvin Klein suit to her belt and the purple hues in her dress.
While the couple seem to have coordinated perfectly, the 29-year-old singer says it wasn’t planned.
“I think we kind of were on the same wavelength without even knowing. It all worked out kind of perfect,” Ciara said on the red carpet.
Ciara and Russell have been dating since April, and just a few weeks again the football star admitted that they have decided to abstain from sex.
“God spoke to me and He said to me, ‘I need you to lead her,’” Wilson said. So he asked Ciara, “What would you do if we took all of that extra stuff off of the table and just did it Jesus’ way?”
The couple agreed on abstaining, but Russell admits that staying celibate will not be easy. “I ain’t gonna lie to ya’ll now. I need ya’ll to pray for us. You’ve seen her on the screen. If there’s a 10, she’s a 15,” Wilson has joked.
Despite the challenge, the couple seems to be genuinely happy as they make appearances together.
