J. Cole Keeps Promise to Attend a Fan’s Graduation

J. Cole Attends Fans Graduation

When J. Cole makes a promise, he stands by his word.

Two years ago, a New Jersey high school student Ceirra Bosarge wrote the “Crooked Smile” MC a letter telling him how much he inspired her to overcome her academic hardships and asked him to attend her high school graduation in the future. Much to her surprise, Cole responded and vowed to attend her graduation under one condition: she had to get accepted into a 4-year university by the time she graduated.

“I read your letter twice now,” he wrote her on Twitter at the time. “You are strong, so I admire YOU. I will be at your graduation… only IF you get into a 4 year university. go!”

The teen buckled down, making mostly A’s since writing Cole, and has already been accepted into two out of the nine colleges where she applied.

The young girl kept Cole updated on her progress over the years and to make sure he was able to keep his word, the rapper worked with his manager to schedule his latest Dollar and a Dream tour around the Bosarge’s graduation.

On June 23rd, Cole attended the graduation, and had another surprise for the graduate. He gave her books that he enjoys, and promised to help pay her college tuition.

Awesome, right?
