Rick Ross Arrested on Kidnapping, Assault Charges
Rapper Rick Ross and his bodyguard were arrested Wednesday morning on charges of kidnapping and aggravated battery Fayetteville, GA .
Ross, 39, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, and his 42-year-old bodyguard Nadrian Lateef James’ arrested stemmed from a June incident were he allegedly got into a fight with one of the workers at his mansion and pistol-whipped that person.
In an emailed statement, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Allen Stevens said the agency on June 7 “initiated an investigation regarding an assault which occurred at a residence on Highway 279.”
Both men will be held at the Fayette County jail until an initial court appearance and bond hearing.
This run in with the law makes the second this month for the “Hustlin’” rapper. He was arrested on June 10 after a traffic stop and charged with marijuana possession, a misdemeanor.
