Kevin Hart Plans Impromptu 5K Run in Atlanta

When Kevin Hart says it’s time to run, get ready to run!

The famous comedian tweeted Thursday evening that he would be hosting a spontaneous 5K run at 8:15 a.m. on Friday at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park.

“Breaking News Atlanta: I’m in the mood to do another spontaneous 5K run people,” Hart tweeted. “Come run with me at 8:15 am, Only come if you plan on running.”

Despite being last minute, the turnout for the event was huge, with hundreds showing up.

“ATL was amazing today,” Hart told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution after the 5K. “As you see, I’m winded. I’m tired. To be honest with you, I gotta go to the bathroom. Right now.”

As random as it seems, Friday’s run in the park isn’t the first time Hart has hosted an impromptu race. @KevinHart4real tweeted a similar announcement to his 19.5 million followers Saturday evening requesting people join him for a 5K in Boston.

The impromptu runs are a part of Hart’s new partnership with the wellness app Rally Health, for which he is serving as a brand representative.

Hart is in Atlanta this weekend for his “What Now?” tour. He will be performing at Philips Arena twice on Friday night and once Saturday night.
