Kim Kardashian Rents Out Staples Center for Kanye West’s Birthday
Kim Kardashian gave Kanye West a birthday gift fit for a baller!
The rapper turned 38 on Monday, and Kim went all out by renting out the Staples Center for her husband and his friends.
Mrs. West blindfolded her husband on the drive over for the surprise.
When they arrived, his friends were already split into the West and East team with matching jerseys for each of them.
Houston Rockets player James Harden and rapper 2 Chainz were the coaches. Justin Bieber, Tyga, Pusha T and all of Kanye’s friends are playing today in addition to NBA stars Russell Westbrook and John Wall. And John Legend sang the national anthem!
To make Kanye’s birthday even more special, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson and Carmelo Anthony recorded personal birthday messages for Kanye, which were played on the Staples Center scoreboard.
“Thank you Staples Center for the most amazing birthday party for Kanye!” she captioned a photo herself, Kanye and four Laker girls.
Earlier in the day, West’s wife, who is pregnant with their second child, penned sweet messages for him on Twitter.
“Happy Birthday 2my best friend in the entire world! U R the most amazing husband &dad! U inspire me every single day,” North West’s mom gushed online, before adding: “You make all of your dreams reality & it’s fascinating to be by your side & watching it all happen! You have a heart of gold! Have the best birthday ever! #SWISH”
