Kendrick Lamar Confirms Engagement to Longtime Girlfriend
Kendrick Lamar is engaged to his high school sweetheart Whitney Alford, the rapper confirmed on The Breakfast Club today (April 3).
Rumors began to circulate last month after the couple were photographed at a meet and greet session with fans in Compton. In one photo, Whitney is seen in the background rocking a massive diamond on her ring finger.
This morning, the “Blacker the Berry” rapper appeared on the popular morning show and, of course, he was questioned about the rumored engagement.
“Yeah definitely,”he responded to the engagement questions. “I’m loyal to the soil.”
“At the end of the day you want to always have loyal people around you whether it’s male or female,” said the 27-year-old. “Everybody that has been around me they been around me since day one and I can’t change that. I always show respect where respect has been given. People have been by your side, you’re supposed to honor that.”
