A surprising collaboration between Beyoncé and Chris Brown has surfaced on the internet. The two popular singers put their star power together for a remix of “Jealous,” off of Beyoncé’s super-successful self-titled album that she dropped unannounced in December 2013.
The remix begins just as the original does with the 33-year-old singer singing her heart out on the emotion track. Before Queen Bey goes into the second verse, Chris Brown lends his voice for a verse of his own.
“Queen Bey, I’m trippin’ ’cause I’m a little insecure when your phone go off,” he sings, and later adds, “So mad I’m drunk texting / Now I’m reminiscing how we fell in love in Texas / Girl, I’m jealous.”
While it was unclear when the remix was recorded or how it came about, the “Loyal” singer took to Twitter to clarify the origins of the track.
“I did the jealous remix some months ago for the Beyoncé collaboration album but it was never used. Glad you guys get to hear it,” he wrote in a post that has since been deleted.
