In the same boat as Jim Carrey, Louis C.K., Stephen Colbert and Zach Galifanakis, Kevin Hart was also a Saturday Night Live reject.
The comedian told Conan O’Brien that when he auditioned for the show, he did an impression of someone no one knew – the San Antonio Spurs point guard of the time, Avery Johnson. While Johnson went on to coach in the NBA and serve as an ESPN analyst, SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels, had no idea who Avery Johnson was at the time of Hart’s audition.
However, given his current success as a writer, producer, comedian and actor, Hart did well for himself as one of the most sought-after comedy actors in Hollywood.
