Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘Gotham’ Days Are Over
Gotham star Jada Pinket Smith has revealed that she will not be returning for the second season of the hit Fox show.
The actress appeared on Live With Kelly and Michael on Friday morning, where she revealed the surprising news. When asked if she would be back for the previously-announced second season she said, “I don’t think so, no. I signed for a year and the year is up.”
She confirmed her departure once again on Extra. “We’re done. I did my year and I had a good time,” she said. “The show is going to have an awesome finale!”
Pinkett Smith signed on to star as gangster Fish Mooney for the series’ inaugural season. Recently, the character has fallen on hard times, losing her valuable mob family and going underground.
Gotham airs Mondays, 9 p.m. on Fox.
