Michael B. Jordan Stars in ‘Fantastic Four’ Trailer

20th Century Fox has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the Fantastic Four to give fans of Marvel’s longest running superhero team an idea of what to expect from the franchise’s next effort.

Starring Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Toby Kebbell, the official synopsis reads:

The FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

In the new preview, we see each of the titular Four–Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch and Jamie Bell as The Thing–as normal young adults before they become a part of the “Fantastic” team.

This reboot comes from director Josh Trank, producers Gregory Goodman, Simon Kinberg and Matthew Vaughn; and screenwriters Kinberg and Jeremy Slater. The film will be followed up by a sequel expected to hit theaters on June 2, 2017.

Fox’s first installment of the Fantastic Four franchise consisted of two movies, released in 2005 and 2007. Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and Ioan Gruffudd played the heroes.

Fantastic Four debuts on August 7.
